Some time I wonder what Blizz plans to do with this profession.
Engineering is really the red-headed stepchild of WoW professions.
If I had to rank how well maintained the crafting professions are, this would be it:
1)JC, Enchanting, Alchemy
2)Tailoring, Blacksmith, Leatherwork
3)Engineering
Those in 1) are the best maintained because they are essential to raiding and/or play important roles [...]

We want to improve how we communicate stats to players. Right now, we’re considering the Character Pane as the place where we’ll do that. Nothing specific yet, but this is being discussed. We know we can do a better job in this department.
